Geyser Peak, Cabernet Sauvignon, California 2016. Generous doses of ripe fruit and spicy oak in the aroma, and full body incorporating light tannins to provide some good texture.
Castello di Dabbiano Dark Knight, Toscano Red Blend, 2016. Fruit-forward characters of black cherry and blackberry dominate the aromas, with underlying grace notes of dark chocolate and black pepper. The palate is rich, round and lush, seamlessly pairing the cherry and berry fruit with a hint of spice and vanilla.
Sand Point, Family Vineyards, Pinot Noir, California 2016. An immediately approachable wine, offering aromas and flavors of dense ripe strawberry and cherry cola. With French and American Oak aging, there is a hint of soft spice that melds into the opening notes, creating a smooth and balanced wine that is easy to enjoy.
Cavicchioli IGT Dolche, Lambrusco Emilia 1928. A bubbly, slightly sweet red wine served well-chilled, and so is a godsend in the summer, when simpler fare, especially grilled or cured meats, call for a similarly light-hearted wine. Lambrusco makes an exceptional, if unexpected, match with fiery hot-and-spicy dishes because its bubbly nature and slight sweetness make it work more like beer than wine to quench the flames.
Chateau St. Jean Rosé 2017. A pale and stunning pink color hints at aromas and flavors of fresh berries and tart cherries led by strawberries and raspberry. Intriguing tropical fruit and Meyer Lemon joined by honeysuckle lead are balanced with a solid acid backbone, noticeable minerality with aromas of wet river rock and a memorable, lasting finish. Principally a blend of California Chardonnay and Barbera.
The Infinite Monkey Theorem 2014 Bubble Universe - Sparkling. Intensely floral aromas of summer rose gardens and lavender fields leap from the glass, with hints of freshly peeled orange peeking through. The palate is equally playful in flavors of lemon juice and orange-blossom honey, kept light by tangy acidity and jubilant bubbles. White peach joins lemon juice on the finish, with just a touch of nuttiness bringing it to a close. An Alida favorite!!!!
Abel's Tempest, Heemskerk wines Tasmania, Chardonnay Pinot Noir - Sparkling. This wine embodies the purity of Tasmania’s fruit. Racy acidity of chardonnay combined with the delicacy of Pinot Noir. Bottle fermentation and aging on lees for 24 months gives creaminess and an elegant length.
Mionetto il Moscato. Bright, golden, straw yellow color; persistent nose reminiscent of aromatic grapes; elegant, sweet, delicate palate. The persistent, fine bubbles enhance the taste experience.
Carlo Rossi Soft White. Medium body, smooth; touch sweeter than drier; actually complex taste profile: apple, lemon, butter.
Honoro Vera Rueda, Verdejo White. This white from Rueda exudes intense aromas of white flowers and fresh fruit with exotic tropical notes. Light yellow. Fresh citrus fruits and melon on the fruity nose and in the mouth. A floral note comes up with aeration, along with a hint of candied ginger. Finishes clean and tangy, with good clarity and length and repeating spiciness.
